Technologies in the spotlight in Tarquinia

251 young people of the Province of Viterbo under the age of 40 (1,278 in the Lazio Region) have been assigned a grant of 70,000 euro for the start-up of new agricultural enterprises, provided for by the measure 6.1 of the European rural development plans (total amount: 89.5 EUR million). A small army of new farmers that bodes well for a revitalization of primary activity in Central Italy. The 69th edition of the Agricultural Machinery Exhibition is also dedicated to them, a historic fair event scheduled from April 27th to May 1st in Lido di Tarquinia (VT), which offers the possibility to see up-to-date technical solutions and the most innovative services. for the various processes and the different agricultural activities. There are about 300 industrial and commercial companies that produce and sell tractors, specific equipment for earth moving, crop plants, harvesting, storage and packaging of agricultural products, information and financial services, crafts. Visitors from all the central Italian regions are expected, many of whom are part of groups organized by the various trade associations of the provinces. Also, in Tarquinia, there are events and side initiatives, including a model of educational farm, already present in the last three editions, but which from year to year is getting richer with plants, animals, and proposals. The goal is always to create a space - that the organizers hope can be reproduced in the various local agro-recreational activities - where children abover all can be interested in the various cycles of nature with a focus on biodiversity and on the animal world. Among the planned activities: planting of fast-growing plant seeds, such as basil, in jars that children can take with them to monitor and control their growth; and trails with ponies and horses that can be carried out by the little ones to get closer to the animal world and learn how to take care of them. Among the curiosities of this edition the exhibition of a self-propelled record-breaking platform with a carrying capacity of 340 kg, a maximum working height of almost 57 meters and a working radius of 24 meters.
