The Topcon Agriculture exhibition area at Sima in Paris spotlighted numerous technologies launched by the California company.
AES-35. High powered electric autosteering solution for hands-free operation. The impermeable and resistant AES-35 can be installed on any vehicle with or without cab, including tractors, self-propelled sprayers, combine harvesters and track vehicles. Combined with the GNSS AGI-4 Receiver/Steering Controller, the vehicle can be steered with precision forward and in reverse and operate with high-accuracy up to 2 cm with the RTK coupled with an angular steering sensor needed for repeated steering with even greater accuracy.

Artemis. Is a system for controlling various dosages for row air seeding designed to regulate seed dosages of seed with the use of an electric motor which adapts the speed of rotation to the forward speed of the tractor. With the Artemis technology up to four granular products can be distributed simultaneously in a single pass for seeding and fertilization. Topcon explained that the system brings together all the normal functions of monitoring and control such as the row lines, signalling low product levels and warning of high or low air speed. Artemis can also be equipped for optional control of clogging of the seed tubes, is ISOBUS compatible and operate with equipment already in use for improving operations and productivity.

X-35. Is Topcon Agricoltura’s premium console in this market, integrated with  Isobus Universal Terminal and Task Controller. The new generation X Series touchscreen monitor is equipped with advanced functions. The 12.1 inch (30.7 cm) monitor is designed with Topcon modularity, uses Topcon Horizon software for easy and intuitive updating and based on the use of icons which can be personalized for the full range of operative functions. Topcon product manager Markus Kalin said, “The X-35 console includes all the functions which led to the success of the previous version, the X-30, but with new advantages. Such as the Horizon XTendm which allows management of the machine with a tablet or smartphone and remote assistance making it possible for technicians to diagnose and solve problems.” Moreover, the X-35 has been designed for management of cloud data. From analyses of the terrain and mapping of production and memorization in the field, the new Topcon console can easily transmit information to the farm databank to make them available in the office and for other machines.

AM 53 and Topcon Tierra at the service of fleets. In the sector of telemetrics for farming enterprises and contractors, the U.S. manufacturer brought a set of solutions to Sima for boosting productivity of machinery, reducing fuel costs, improving safety and optimizing the management and use of equipment.

For the management of vehicles the AM 53 is an on-board processor which can operate in extreme conditions with minimum maintenance which updates firm software automatically and provides the operator with immediate reports via diagnostic LED. The light and compact system is easy to install. The AM 53 processor with a substantial memory of up to 50 hours. At intervals, the processor records changes in the state of the machine and monitors functions at 5 second intervals. The Topcon Tierra Value, on the other hand, provides a wide range of functions based on the requirements of the user, from the base location to the most advanced remote diagnosis for solutions. Through this Topcon Tierra or an App, the operator has access to a server for control of the fleet, configure alarms and report using information on targeted decisions for improving efficiency and profitability.
