
VLN, the AI-Ready kit from Cobo
Cobo brings artificial intelligence on board all new and old generation tractors, without waiting and without necessarily having to invest in new mechanization. VLN is based on AI Computer Vision and Neural Networks. Images, unlike satellite signals, are always available in any location, position, season and condition. This translates into the use of simple devices that are inexpensive to purchase and non-invasive to install, capable of giving the tractor the ability to 'see' where it is working, 'learn to recognize' the implements used one by one, and "be connected" to continuously transmit and receive data and updates. VLN does not require the positioning of sensors on the tractor, GPS receivers, satellite signals, or ground antennas. Thus it does not interfere with tools no matter what position they are in. It does not contribute to generating further electromagnetic pollution (electrosmog / accumulation of radiation in the environment). The kit can be installed on any vineyard/orchard tractor model and brand and is capable of providing various functions. First and foremost, automatic guidance is precise and safe, even at night and in both directions. Guidance within the lanes allows the operator to select a central position or an offset to the left or right, depending on the job in progress. Object Detection automatically alerts the operator to the presence of people, animals and obstacles in the lanes he is operating in, while Tilt Alert provides advance warning of the risk of overturning generated by the combination of speed, roughness and slopes. VLN is capable of automatically recognizing the tools connected to the tractor and of controlling and monitoring the functions, connectivity and telemetry applied to the COBO INTOUCH AGRI cloud, for remote monitoring and data collection of all vehicle activities.
