AvMap, an ISOBUS-compatible control unit
AvMap a Carrara-based company with over 30 years of experience in the satellite navigation and telematics sector, is launching its new FARMNAVIGATOR IsoBoost-Depth Control electronic control unit at Agritechnica. The unit is designed to be applied to agricultural soil-working equipment and make it ISOBUS-ready, meaning compatible with various types of tractors and monitors. IsoBoost supports the universal interface ISOBUS Virtual Terminal 3.0 and Task Controller for ISOXML prescription maps. It is an ISOBUS electronic control unit (ECU) capable of reading analog sensors and controlling on/off proportional valves, and is thus capable of automatically adjusting the working depth according to the soil conditions and the settings chosen by the operator. IsoBoost integrates advanced position sensors (3-axis accelerometer + gyroscope), GNSS antenna, Bluetooth, 4G modem with integrated SIM with worldwide coverage. Moreover, it is equipped with an RS232 serial connector and two CANBUS connectors, 4 analog and 2 digital inputs, 4 PWM power outputs and 2 dry contact outputs for flexible equipment control. Communication with the tractor takes place via a standard ISO11783-2 ISOBUS cable. Finally, the new AvMap control unit also offers instrument-office interconnection with automatic real-time transmission of telematics data to a dedicated cloud portal.
