Carlotti in Bologna will take the stage at Fieragricola with their potato diggers and potato harvesting machines with the outstanding KMC range of potato diggers up front. The lightweight and robust KMC diggers in the 650 single-row and the double-row models, the 750 NT, 1300, 1450 and 1600, all operate at low power regimes, are designed for single and double-row operations and to ensure sensitive handling for avoiding damage to product. Their works widths of up to the maximum of 1.8 meters and modular build facilitate maintenance operations. The digging devices of these models are a plowshare bar with blades, their number varies according to the model, and two cutting levelling discs. With the withdrawal of the plowshare the potatoes are placed on a conveyer belt, cleaned by a shaker and deposited on the ground in a central windrow. The characters of the KMC-R 1450, 1600 and 1800 series include all the winning features of the KMC models but are equipped with a front feeler roller for enhanced performance because they can be deployed on a greater number of different soils and adjust the digging depth during operation to keep it uniform. In the sector of potato digger-harvesters, Carlotti's Green series will be showcased, machines built for collecting the product even if it is not fully mature, and the Spring line. The two Green 650/5 are compact, high-yield machines and feature great maneuverability made possible by a hydraulic pump connected directly to the PTO the tractor without a universal joint and by but the moving drawbar and by steering wheels. Digging and collecting operations are managed from the drivers seat in the tractor using two hydraulic valves located next to the operator to control the speed of rotation of the tape collector and the sorting belt, moving drawbar, the steering wheels and the bin forklift. The speed of the collection belt rotation and the wide sorting belt is also controlled by these two hydraulic valves. Performance and sensitive handling of the product are the chief features of the Spring ALX-R, 750/20-R and 750/35 machines which make it possible to dig and harvest a single row of potatoes at the same time. These models are equipped with a hopper with a moveable bottom which allows the tubers to be brought up a conveyer belt with a designed with a spiky surface for avoiding bouncing and for separating soil from the product in a non-aggressive way.
