Ortomec, efficient harvesting technologies

Ortomec of Pegolotte (Venice) is unveiling a new automatic loading system designed specifically to reduce processing and harvesting costs. The technology proposed by the Venetian company, which is only intended for Ortomec harvesters (tracked or wheeled), offers the possibility of loading and weighing three boxes individually and at the same time, and of managing the incoming product, ensuring uniformity in filling the box.

Another plus is represented by the oscillating system of the upper plate and the "pyramid" effect of the product inside the box, which optimises product conservation during transport and storage. Composed of a structure that can be dismantled into a single block to allow the harvester to work in the traditional way, the machine developed by Ortomec is offered with a shaking table for cleaning the product (upstream) and with a box filling device equipped with independent belts at variable speed.

Another Ortomec innovation is the restyling of the control panel of its self-propelled harvesters, which has been implemented with a multi-function joystick and a new touchscreen display that puts the cutting equipment just a click away. Thanks to the new joystick, the operator can customise the controls directly on the display by means of two touch buttons that allow him to read information about the harvester and the machine, set the language, access the section dedicated to Ortomec tech support and customise the controls on the multifunction lever.
