The load capacity of the new Impuls Steyr
Driving comfort and load capacity are the strengths of the new range of Impuls tractors with power outputs of 170, 180 and 200 Hp, debuted by Steyr at the latest edition of Agritechnica. On the three models in the series - CVT 6170, 6180 and 6200 - the CNH Group manufacturer has provided a latest-generation CVT continuously variable transmission as well as a 24x24 S-Control 8 semi-powershift double clutch. As the Austrian company points out, driving comfort is provided by the revamped front axle, which is available in two versions - standard or heavy-duty - featuring an innovative suspension system (optional) that minimizes the transmission of shocks to the cabin and consequently to the operator. Dual accumulators provide quicker response than previous models, maximizing shock absorption, while roll control locks the accumulators during transport mode operation. The new axle mount and sloping hood design make headland turns easier thanks to a tighter turning radius of 11.4 meters. The 4-pillar panoramic cab offers a 360° view of the working area, with large glass surfaces and a single-piece front windshield that optimize the forward and side field of vision when operating loaders or front-mounted implements. The interior of the cab has been completely redesigned with more elegant finishes, while the latest-generation displays include full connectivity and equipment management functionality thanks to the Steyr Infomat 1200 touchscreen terminal incorporated into the armrest. The Impuls models offer increased tool handling capacity. The maximum permissible weight is 13,500 kg, with a payload of up to 5,500 kg, providing all the strength needed for heavy-duty work. The entire hydraulic circuit is equipped with a 170 l/min pump while the rear attachment offers greater robustness to handle greater stress.
