The maneuverability of the Viroc tool carrier

Viroc is a compact tool carrier made by WM technics of Prato all'Isarco (Bolzano) for use in work with specialized crops. Featuring a weight of 1,270 kilos, a low center of gravity and an adjustable track width from 90 to 115 cm, the new model from the South Tyrol-based manufacturer is appreciated for its ability to perform sustainable operations, reduce soil erosion and move with particular agility between narrow rows and along slopes. The Hatz Stage V diesel engine with 60 or 75 Hp, set in a low and balanced position has an integral hydrostatic transmission and offers 20,000 N of traction in the High Torque version. The speed includes cruise control technology and ranges between 0 and 20 kilometers per hour. Strong points of the Viroc Agrar tool carrier include its high-strength steel frame, a double-joint central joint (for ±82° steering with an internal radius of 60 cm), and load sensors that block the joint to offer greater traction. Seven hydraulic pumps deliver up to 40 l/min to the PTOs and proportional control valves, allowing the operator to use two tools simultaneously and change them in less than five minutes. There is also high level technology for the Category 4 pressurized cab which can be rotated 180° and features an activated carbon filter, 7” touch display and multifunction joystick. The ROPS frame, spring-applied brakes on each wheel and the Cleanfix fan protect the operator and the vehicle in the most extreme conditions.

WM Technics provides a wide range of accessories for this model, such as a 1,000 kg rear lift unit and a Cat 0 front-mounted 650 kg unit with three-point linkage and optional block valves; a front-mounted 0.16/0.21 m³ volume loader bucket for digging and transport in narrow rows, and an 800 mm rotary grader with ±15° tilt for terracing and turning areas. Optional extras include an implement mast with ±120° rotation, 500 mm telescope swivel (specific for the SM80-90 mower, LSU foliage cutter or inter-row brush/sucker remover), SP 350-60sprayer (high or low turret) 350 l with stainless steel fan and 22,500 m³/h air flow rate, the adjustable 700-1,100 mm loader bucket (with optional hydraulic tipping) and the 540 liter dumper skip with 730 mm panels.
