Last September saw the start of the marketing of the new ZMGE side mulchers by the Emilian company Ferri (headquartered in Tamara, in the province of Ferrara) intended for farms and contractors.

The new range, highlighted at EIMA 2021, consists of two models with working widths of 140 and 160 centimetres respectively (weighing 445 and 465 kilogrammes) and is an ideal solution for cleaning the edges of plots of land, farm roads and ditch banks. In order to work further out from the tractor's track, the new mulchers are equipped with a multiplier unit with external PTO, and can adapt to the morphology of the terrain thanks to the oscillating frame. Another new feature is the relocation of the hydraulic jack, which is now located between the two front parallelograms, offering maximum protection against accidental impacts.

The front structure of the flail mower has a compact shape, and this has allowed the manufacturer to create a machine that is compact in size and therefore able to offer high performance even with medium power tractors.

The ZMGE model can be configured with a rotor with stamped hammers or with a rotor with multi-purpose blades for particularly accurate shredding of plant residues. The standard equipment includes a mechanical safety system for road transport as well as a hydraulic block for double safety when moving on the road.
