BKT, a broad and diverse choice of tyres

Anticipation for the Indian manufacturer's major bestsellers at EIMA International. BKT arrives in Bologna with solutions ranging from tractors to lifters, from sprayers to trailers, all designed to reduce the effect of soil compaction and reduce fuel consumption

“EIMA International 2016 is an important opportunity to offer the best ranges under the BKT brand, tangible demonstration of our wide choice of offerings. In this edition of the Bologna show, visitors can experience directly a large portion of our portfolio of products dedicated to the agricultural and agro-industrial sector.” These are the words with which Lucia Salmaso, CEO of BKT Europe, presents the models that are the “standard bearers” at the Bologna Fair exhibition spaces for a line of broad and diverse models, with solutions from the agricultural to the industrial sector.

In the tractor tyre segment, the spotlight is on the Agrimax Force series with “IF” technology. Designed for high-power tractors (in excess of 250 Hp), the model proposed at EIMA International (in the IF 800/70 R 42 size) combines a higher load capacity at a lower inflation pressure than a standard tyre of the same size. This means that the Agrimax Force IF 800/70 R 42 can reduce soil compaction and travel at a maximum speed of 65 km/h without changing the inflation pressure in the transition from road to field. Agrimax Sirio is a line designed for heavy load towing operations. This tyre, presented at the Bologna show in the 710/70 R 38 size) features an “E” speed rating, which allows a maximum travel speed of 70 kilometres per hour even in the heaviest towing operations. Furthermore, the tread of the Agrimax Sirio has an increased area of contact with a reduced rolling resistance, which promotes lower fuel consumption.

In the sprayers sector, BKT offers Agrimax Spargo, designed specifically for the treatment of row crops. Thanks to the particular structure of its tread and the innovative design of the tread cleats, the Spargo model can easily weave between the rows, without damaging the plants and offering a reduced soil compaction. This tyre is also known for the VF technology, designed to increase the load capacity with the same inflation as a standard model.

For the combines and spreaders, we highlight the Agrimax RT 600 (800/65 R 32 size), ideal for working on lawns, soft soils and turf. High load capacity, stability and traction are the winning features of this model by BKT, prized both for flotation and for being gentle on the soil.

For trailers, the Indian manufacturer offers Ridemax FL 693 M (shown in the 560/60 R 22.5 size), also suitable for tankers and spreaders used mainly for road travel. In addition to being prized for its driving comfort and self-cleaning capacity, Ridemax FL 693 M stands out for its high operational efficiency (reduced fuel consumption), reduced rolling resistance, and a “D/E” speed rating that is ideal for a combined use on road and on soil.

In the field of agro-industrial applications, BKT launches the Multimax MP 527, in the new 440/80 R 24 size: a multi-purpose radial tyre designed on the characteristics and operating requirements of telehandlers. Traction and stability in the lifting mode are its trump cards, along with its “aggressive” tread and its rugged side. In short, it is a versatile model, made with a strong and robust material that offers great resistance for countering impacts and avoiding cuts and lacerations.
