Bologna Fair Green Areas

The EIMA Green Salon dedicated to gardening and groundskeeping technologies is set for EIMA International. Some 300 manufacturers from 13 countries will exhibit their products in the context of a market in growth in Italy in the first half of the year following increasing demand also around Europe in 2017

The Bologna trade fair center will allocate three of their pavilions, 33, 34 and 36 Bis totalling 14,000 square meters, to EIMA Green with a focus on gardening and groundskeeping running next November 7 to 11. The salon will be located in a specialized exhibition space set aside within EIMA International to host some 300 exhibiting industries from 13 countries, Italy, Belgium, China, France, Germany, Japan, Greece, New Zealand, Russia, Spain, United States, Switzerland and Turkey. The EIMA Green exposition is targeted on business people, gardening, groundskeeping and sports grounds technicians as well as gardening enthusiasts. The event is coming up in a dynamic period for the market in this sector which fell in Italy by 11% in the first quarter of 2018. However according to data based on a Morgan statistics report, gardening machinery and equipment made a plus 1.4% comeback in the first half of the year with substantial gains for brushcutters, trimmers, leaf blowers and vacuums and robotic mowers and the outlook is for a continuation of the positive phase in the second half of the year. Aside from the Italian market, EIMA Green will be an occasion for monitoring the global market with large numbers of business people arriving for the event from abroad where there are mature markets, as in the United States, the UK, Germany and France as well as from Asian and Arab countries with emerging markets. As regards all of Europe, the market is coming out of a positive 2017 trend with growth of 4.1% with about 19 million machines and equipment items sold, according to EGMF, the European Garden Machinery Federation, and these industries are looking to further this trend in the current year. The Italian and foreign business people attending EIMA Green will be presented with wide ranges of choices of self-propelled machinery, manual tools and accessories meeting all requirements plus a schedule of conferences and training events on such issues as technological innovations and machinery types, planning urban greenery and safety in the use of machinery.
