Cutting-edge test bench for Simol

The design and production of wheels and support feet are the core business of Simol, a company from Reggio Emilia with a commercial presence in over fifty countries. In collaboration with the University of Bologna, Simol has conceived and realised a test bench that allows to test directly in the factory the performance of mechanically or hydraulically operated telescopic supports used for supporting and lifting functions in agricultural equipment and machinery, subjecting them to the specific functionality, safety and reliability tests required by the International Organisation for Standardisation. Thanks to the analytical reports of this instrumentation, it was possible for Simol to develop the new Q range supports, the only ones on the market designed and tested to be fully compliant with the requirements of the ISO 12140 standard. While the objective of the standard is to establish shared procedures and practices to guarantee the quality of the end product, Simol put this into practice in the technological development of an entire range of telescopic supports. The Simol-Q support feet are primarily dedicated to manufacturers of towed machines and equipment, who now have one more reason to choose a durable, reliable and functional product in total safety, tested and certified by Simol. Not least, all feet in the Simol Q range are manufactured using an ISO 3834/2-certified welding system, characterised by numerous checks that guarantee reliability and traceability. This is a further guarantee of the quality of the products in the Simol Q range.

Against this backdrop, Simol is presenting the new Novel Jack 2.0 model at Agritechnica. This is an innovative hydraulically-operated support foot, offered in two versions, one of which is ISOBUS compatible. The tool is able to communicate with the virtual terminal located in the tractor cab. The interactive support foot has been designed by Simol to be applied to towed equipment that has little space under the drawbar and therefore require foldable components that guarantee minimum space requirements both during operation and when stationary. In addition, the remote retractable closure offers a significant reduction in physical labour and increases productivity and efficiency under safe conditions.
