Simol has been producing and manufacturing jacks for the agricultural sector for more than 60 years and is showcasing two innovations at EIMA 2022. The Reggio Emilia-based company is launching SIMOL-Q, a range of jacks intended for manufacturers of towed machinery and equipment and ISO12140 certified, at the major agricultural machinery fair. The standard certifies the product's quality by performing specific tests covering functional, safety and reliability requirements. SIMOL-Q's certification has become possible as a result of an innovative test bench, developed together with the University of Bologna, which has enabled the Emilia-based manufacturer to test the performance of mechanically or hydraulically operated telescopic supports, used with a support and lifting function in agricultural equipment and machinery, right inside its factory. At EIMA 2022, the Reggio Emilia-based manufacturer will also present Novel Jack 2.0, an evolution of "Novel Jack," an interactive jack developed as part of the European "Horizon 2020" project. Novel Jack 2.0 is offered in two hydraulic-driven versions, one of which, ISOBUS compatible, can communicate with the virtual terminal located in the tractor cab. Simol engineers designed the interactive jack to fit on towed equipment with little space under the tiller and therefore requires resealable components that ensure minimum space requirements both during operation and when stationary. Furthermore, -as Simol explains in a note- the rotation controlled by the inner tube's indentation enables the jack to be remotely closed, thus offering a significant reduction in physical labor and safely enhancing productivity and efficiency.
