Sfoggia in Montebelluna, near Treviso, a manufacturer specializing in planters and seed drills, is keeping its appointment at Fieragricola with the presentation of the Elektra, a precision vacuum planter equipped with a new electronic device, a touch screen control for the automatic management of the machine directly from the tractor cab allowing excellent sowing precision even at 15km/h. The touch screen console control makes it possible for the operator not only to configure the machine for precision planting and quantities of fertilizer and geo-disinfectants for distribution but also to continuously monitor the operating modes of each of the sowing elements, the relative disconnection and the treated area to guarantee greater productivity with the maximum precision. This innovation can be interfaced with Gps and the Isobus system. Among the Elektra's other outstanding features is the new concept electric engine, designed to increase machine performance for optimizing the seeds settings independently of the tractor battery. The new planter is available in 2 to 24 row versions, can be equipped, according to the requirements of the end-user, with fixed, telescopic or hydraulic folding frames and variable row distances. In the sector of soil preparation, the Leonardo will be featured up front in Verona, Sfoggia's new strip-till machine designed to guarantee excellent results falling between conventional tillage and the no-till technique. A technical communique issued by the Veneto manufacturer said the Leonardo can increase the soil temperature to hasten germination, and, on the one hand, conserve the surface structure of the soil to maintain organic materials and the level of humidity to facilitate operations in the field while, on the other, reduce the water peculation effect to cut operating costs by depositing fertilizer in the rows resulting in the use of smaller quantities of the product. Moreover, the work of the strip-till at depth boosts the development of the root apparatus. Coming as standard is a nitrogen cylinder with pressure which can be regulated for charging the tools, the sowing furrow opener, straight, turbo, toothed discs, a double V-shaped disc, a micro-plow opener which can be regulated from 10 to 25 cm and an iron toothed roller and a cage.
