The e107 V Vario model, the specialized full electric from Fendt, was one of the great protagonists of Agritecnhnica where, moreover, it triumphed in the "Sustainable Toty" category of the Tractor of the Year 2024. Expressly designed for use on special crops, for greenhouse operations, for public works and for farms with their own energy production, the e107 V Vario, with narrow track (the external width is 1.07 meters while the height is just over 2.4 metres), it is equipped with a battery electric motor and the renowned Fendt Vario transmission from which it takes its name. Already today there are numerous agricultural and municipal companies that produce electricity through photovoltaic, wind or biogas; the Fendt full electric can therefore be recharged with these green sources and can therefore operate in a neutral way from the point of view of CO2 emissions. Obviously, the operating costs of the tractor are significantly reduced, as are the maintenance costs, since the machine does not consume engine oil. The maximum power delivered by the electric engine - explains the manufacturer in a technical note - varies from 50 kW (68 Hp, according to the ECE R85 standard) for Eco driving to 55 (75 Hp) for Dynamic mode, up to 55 kW are available, while peak power reaches 66 kW (90 Hp) in Dynamic+ operating mode. The battery capacity is 100 kWh. This means that, according to what was declared by the manufacturer, the machine has an autonomy of approximately 4-7 hours when used for partial load applications such as trimming, shredding grass or street cleaning. Obviously, in the case of energy-intensive operations with a compressed air leaf stripper or with a trailer for transporting materials, the operating time of the tractor is reduced accordingly. Fendt e107 V Vario is equipped with various functions and technologies that use available energy as efficiently as possible, such as the start-stop function that reduces energy consumption or the energy recovery system through the foot switch. Furthermore, the thermal management system ensures that the battery always operates at the optimal temperature, regardless of the season or weather conditions, prolonging its life over time. Thermal management can be activated via a timer the day before its use: at the start of operational activity the tractor will already be at operating temperature and can be used immediately. The e107 V Vario – specifies Fendt – can work with all existing equipment. There are three attachment spaces and up to six independent hydraulic valves in the middle and four hydraulic valves in the rear; there are two power take-offs available, one at the front and one at the rear. For hydraulic connections it is possible to opt for flat-faced joints, which prevent leaks and therefore contamination of the oil (including biological ones). ISOBUS functions comply with the ISO11783 standard. They allow you to use compatible implements via the Fendt terminal and FendtONE controls. External controls in the cab are now outdated. Another plus of the full electric Fendt is the 4-post cab: safe, ergonomic, comfortable for the operator and with a wide view of the work area (the absence of the exhaust pipe improves it further). In its basic configuration, the cab meets all 2 protection standards; however, if necessary, it is possible to modify the filtering system bringing it to category 4 according to EU regulation EN15695, which guarantees protection from dust, liquid pesticides and their vapours. The Fendt e107 V Vario will be produced at the Marktoberdorf plant starting in the fourth quarter of 2024 and will initially be marketed in a small number of pilot markets (Germany, Norway and the Netherlands). In the future, Fendt plans to extend distribution to other countries depending on the compatibility of their infrastructures.
