Kuhn VB 7100 round balers: performance and durability

Great news at Kuhn. The French company launches the new series of variable chamber round balers VB 7100, intended for large farms and contractors. The models in the VB 7100 range are high-performance work tools, capable - the manufacturer specifies - of producing very dense bales with a maximum capacity of 30 tonnes per hour in the most diverse operating situations.
The heart of the new Kuhn round balers is the i-Dense technology, an intelligent double-arm tension device that works in synergy with the measurements taken by the humidity sensor.
Thanks to the innovative system patented by Kuhn, the machine can automatically adapt (without any operator intervention) the working pressure to the different types of crops and their various conditions. The combination of i-Dense and the particular design of the compression chamber (with 4 belts and 3 rollers) facilitates the rapid formation of uniform and high-density bales with any type of product, even with silage, while the Integral Rotor technology optimizes forage flow. The sturdy and oversized chains are lubricated by means of an automatic continuous greasing system, offering maximum resistance to wear.
Still on the subject of durability, it is worth noting that the manufacturer has opted for Hardox steel plates to make the rotor teeth, while special seals are installed on the free rollers to avoid contamination of the bearings (the motorized ones have 50 mm spherical bearings). Another point of pride of the VB 7100 round balers is the net binder with active tensioning, designed by the technicians of the French company to ensure constant net tension and to create sturdy bales. The VB 7100 round balers can be managed directly from the driver’s seat through the tractor’s ISOBUS monitor or with the optional CCI 800 or CCI 1200 monitors.
