Two new lawnmower robots are coming to the market in December from the Emak Group, the Sirius 700 under the Efco brand name and the Orion 700 by Oleo-Mac. Both robomowers feature attractive and innovative design, advanced software and great agility in mowing operations and both are compact and silent runners and capable of excellent performance even in tight spaces. Thanks to their reduced weight, these robomowers can handles lawns of up to 700 m² with total autonomy. Perimeter mowing is achieved by sensors for detecting the signal of the 100 meters of boundary wire provided for extending around the area to be mowed. The simple and intuitive controls are made up of an LCD display with eight backlit buttons, 120 components, five independent sensors, three modes for high performance and regulation of the five cutting heights. With their anti-collision devices, the Sirius and Orion can overcome all obstacles no greater than 7 cm in height or simply mow around anything higher. Wheels with tires featuring high grip tread profiles and powerful brush technology propulsion motors allow these mower to work on gradients of up to 35% or lateral slopes at 40%. On steeper terrain a safety sensor prevents the risk of overturning by stopping the mower. Both the Sirius 700 and the Orion 700 return to their home base docking station on their own when they need recharging. Their reduced energy consumption enables them to work with eco-compatibility and thanks to their double blade cut technology there is no need to dispose of the grass cuttings which are finely shredded and returned to the lawn as natural fertilizer. Great attention was trained on safety in the design of these robomowers, equipped with a sensor which immediately blocks the blades if mowing operations are interrupted.
