Reduced maintenance with the new Repossi rakes
For the haymaking sector, Repossi presents various new products in Hanover. These include the 7500HD and 9000HD comb rakes, which stand out with working widths of 7.5 and 9 meters, respectively. All the models' drives are hydraulic, meaning no shafts and cardan transmissions, in order to reduce both maintenance times and vibrations when cornering, and also lower the overall noise of the machine. The new equipment is approved for road use. In the fields, the exclusive comb harvesting system produces clean forage, with 75% less soil – claims the Pavia-based company (headquartered in Casorate Primo) – compared to other rakes on the market. It is possible to partially lift the raking units when cornering or maneuvering from the tractor cab. It is also possible to work with a single unit to move the row of hay laterally, thanks to the efficient solenoid valve system. The two rear main wheels, the six shock-absorbing road caster wheels and the six pivoting wheels of the two raking groups (three on each side) allow the equipment to adapt optimally to the terrain. The two groups are free to swing around a central hinge to instantly adapt to the support surface of the wheels. The system is completed by a telescopic piston that guides the adaptation to the work surface when it encounters small rough patches or dips. At Agritechnica Repossi is also presenting its expansion of the RA-Rake range of central swath star rakes with the 16+16VS model, featuring the double star. Technicians at the Pavia-based company have designed the equipment with coaxial pairs of stars with different diameters: the larger rear one does not touch the forage but has the sole task of moving the second, smaller star positioned behind it, which moves the forage without contaminating it with earth and stones. The RA-Rake is equipped with a robust frame, oversized alloy steel hinges, with a double longitudinal frame, a category II and III drawbar and a double lateral frame to give the machine greater resistance. Finally, the shock absorbers on the caster wheels absorb shocks on the roughest terrain, protecting the entire structure. As an option, the new model can be equipped with central stars that move the forage placed in the central corridor, with an electro-hydraulic valve kit for the use of a single rake unit, and with windshields that block the passage of short and light forage.
