Salvarani technology for weeding bars

Present on the market for over 35 years, Salvarani began to produce technologies for the agricultural sector in a garage in Poviglio (Reggio Emilia), focusing mainly on the components sector. Since then, the company’s turnover has grown considerably (Salvarani also has a registered office in Belgium and one in Romania) thanks to an entrepreneurial strategy dedicated to innovation, product reliability, after-sales services and, last but not least, to environmental protection. Today the activity of the Emilian company focuses on four production segments: accessories for agricultural machines (command button panles, joysticks, wiring and other components) and for slow moving machines; precision measuring systems for the calibration and certification of sprayers; electrical and electronic components; and dry compressors for motor vehicles. At the SIMA in Paris, the company from Poviglio presents many leading items in its range, including the protection system for weeding bars. It is a technology with sliding springs that help keep the weeding bars leveled, thus avoiding contact with the ground. An ideal solution for treatments on hilly soils or on uneven ground, where it improves the distribution of the product, protecting the spray-holders and the bar itself. Applied on the ends of the weeding bar, the sliding springs give great elasticity to the bar and consequently reduce the risk of malfunctions or breakages, while the terminal part of the springs, made of a plastic compound, has enough width to absorb small bumps. The spring protection system is also available in a rotary version which prevents the bar from deforming during reverse tractor operation.
