Matermacc in San Vito al Tagliamento, near Pordenone, recently taken over by Foton Lovol International Heavy Industry, China’s largest agricultural equipment manufacturer, is arriving at Agritechnica 2015 with a restyled logo with graphics which display the Italian company’s two cardinal points of its entrepreneurial philosophy, innovation and quality construction. The Veneto manufacture is also arriving in Hanover with innovative construction features presented on one of Matermacc’s most successful models in their vacuum precision planter range, the MS 8230. This double hydraulic folding planter is equipped with the Easy-Set system, a tool bar which makes it possible to quickly change the inter-row distance in two minutes per unit. At work on the MS 8230, Matermacc technicians provided larger hoppers to lengthen operation time in the field for a significant reduction in down time for loading, and changed the profiles of the planting unit components for protecting seed distribution against clogging due to mud.

Other changes have been applied to the machine’s ergonomics with the redesign of the control levers and the hopper tap to facilitate loading operations for the end-user. Also a new model will be launched at Agritechnica 2015, the MSD 2.0, a pneumatic seed drill in line for cereals for autumn seeding for winter harvest of the crops. According to the manufacturer’s estimates, these crops account for half the crops on arable land around Europe. The machine is based on the experience gained with the MDS which marked a step ahead in the evolution of these seed drills. The MSD 2.0, in fact, features all the strong points of the early model with improved potential and performance thanks to the important innovations added, which the San Vito al Tagliamento has not yet disclosed. To learn about them there will be a wait until November 8th at least when this seed drill will be unveiled as the most recent Matermacc seeder.
