Many of the models taking centre stage at the Tractor of the Year 2018 competition, which held its award ceremony in Hanover as part of Agritechnica, come from the all-Italian technology of the Carraro Group, one of the main realities in transmission systems for off-highway vehicles and specialized tractors.

The Best Utility category was won by the McCormick X6.4 VT-DRIVE tractor, fitted with a Carraro 20.19SI axle with independent electronic suspension. Also in the same category, one of the finalists was the John Deere 5125 R tractor, equipped with a Carraro 20.22SI axle with independent electronic suspension.

This confirms the validity of this evolved front suspension system made by the Venetian company, which allows vehicles to significantly improve their stability and safety in the field, while also increasing productivity (as well as speed in road transfers).

In the Best of Specialized category, the Carraro Group had the double satisfaction of seeing among the finalists the Massey Ferguson 3710 S and Claas Nexos 240 VE tractors, both equipped with 20.16 front axles combined with T100 transmissions, and above all, made entirely at the Carraro Agritalia plant, in Rovigo.
