New addition to Antonio Carraro’s Tony range. At Fieragricola, the company from Campodarsego (Padua) launches the new Tony 8900 V model, a specialized tractor model with a mechanical/hydrostatic hybrid transmission and a classic frame, designed for very narrow vineyards. The newcomer to the Carraro stable is a manoeuvrable tractor, equipped with an oscillating front axle and a lowered platform that replicate those characteristics of stability and low centre of gravity already successfully tested on board the equal-wheeled tractor. The axle track of the Tony 8900 V, explains the manufacturer with a technical note, is very narrow (the minimum width is one metre), while the front wheels - which are smaller - enable a small turning radius (the maximum rotation of the wheels is 55°) for maximum manoeuvring precision. With a high technological profile, the transmission is offered by Antonio Carraro with the Tractor Management Control system and with hydraulics that optimize the power absorption according to the machine’s operational uses. One of the pluses of the new Carraro model worth mentioning is the option of using side and front attachments simultaneously. The specialized tractors of the Tony 8900 V range will be available on the market from the end of 2020 and will be offered in versions from 75 to 100 horsepower (the engine is a Kubota Stage V). Two carriage axle widths provided by the Paduan company: 100 cm for the super-narrow version V (narrow vineyard) and 120 for the VL (wide vineyard). Finally, as regards the driver’s seat, the tractors of the Tony 8900 V series come with the Air cab V version, pressurized, ROPS and FOPS certified. Upon request, the cab can be equipped with protection technology against gas, dust and aerosol emissions.
