ADR hydraulic suspensions, light and durable

The group from Lombardy is presenting at the Paris event a complete range of hydraulic suspensions for agricultural trailers whose main strengths are lightness, modularity and durability. The First, Hydrocompact and Alpha models are characterized by remarkable versatility

At the Sima in Paris, on show in the exhibition spaces of the ADR Group, we find the complete hydraulic suspensions for agricultural trailers, with a range of advanced products designed to meet all construction needs of OEMs and, with a view to increasing technological innovation, to replace leaf springs. Three lines are highlighted in the French capital, starting from the First model. Thanks to its particular constructive architecture, it allows a reduction of about 20% in the weight of the component compared to a conventional suspension. This gives significant advantages not only from the point of view of safety and driving stability, but also for the usable capacity of the trailer (now greater) and the tyre and fuel consumption (lower compared to trailers equipped with leaf spring models). In addition, the uniform distribution of the axle load, characteristic of hydraulic suspension, enables you to take advantage of the greater grip for even more effective braking. On the other hand, the Hydrocompact model is equipped with hydraulic cylinders in line with the profile of the vehicle chassis. This solution lends such solidity and stability to the structure of the vehicle that it makes it possible to use steering axles and wide cross-section tires. Furthermore, the connection of the cylinders to the axis and to the suspension struts generates - in every operating condition - a system of forces which is discharged on the load-bearing groups without producing stress on the anchorages of the frame and axle.  The third newcomer from the ADR brand is the Alpha hydraulic suspension, designed to take on soils characterized by extreme ruggedness. Alpha distinguishes itself for the absence of internal torsional forces between the suspension structure and the axle body. This is because the axis is connected to the vehicle frame through an articulated triangular structure that ensures freedom of movement both on the longitudinal and lateral axis of the frame. Thanks to this solution the wheels never lose contact with the ground. Alpha is also equipped with a rugged anti-nosing bar, designed to balance the lateral forces and to ensure the perfect alignment of the wheels in all operating conditions, while an advanced hydraulic system for cylinder control ensures optimal stability in all operating conditions. The position of the cylinders, located below the profile of the chassis side members, gives even more stability to the vehicles equipped with the Alpha hydraulic suspension. This also allows OEMs to build frames that are wider and therefore more stable. In addition, all the ADR group suspensions are modular and allow you to create vehicles with an unlimited number of axles, with uniform load capacities that in some cases - in view of an often “exceptional” use that these suspensions are intended for, especially in off-road use - they can be higher than the maximum limits set by the European Union’s Mother Regulation. Naturally, First, Hydrocompact and Alpha can be combined with the full range of axles from the Varese brand (the headquarters are in Uboldo), but above all with the Teknoax monobloc model (the stubs are integrated in the axle body), which was developed on purpose for the three hydraulic suspensions, with which it forms a single body.
