The Agriumbria event, which brought together key players in the agri-food and livestock sectors and attracted a large audience of professionals, hobbyists, and families, took place in Bastia Umbra (PG) at the UmbriaFiere exhibition center from March 27th to 29th.

There were over 450 exhibitors on a surface area of 85,000 m2 with the traditional specialized showcases: Milktec, a trade show dedicated to dairy technology, along with Bancotec, Enotec, and Oleatec, thematic spaces for promoting the agri-food supply chain. Added to these was the dynamic forestry area where exhibiting companies were able to showcase working machinery and equipment for forestry work and initial wood processing.

The livestock supply chain, created in collaboration with the Italian Breeders Association (AIA), the Umbria and Marche Breeders Association (AAUM), the Federation of National Breed and Species Associations (FedANA) and its member breeding bodies, remains central, as always, with over 600 heads of cattle, sheep, horses, goats and poultry, including all Italian beef breeds.  The area where the fair was inaugurated for the first time hosted shows and breed reviews, auctions and competitions of animals registered in stud books, and a large showcase of farmyard animals. Numerous livestock-related meetings took place over the three days of the fair, focusing on technical issues and the protection, identity, and income of the supply chain.

The professional agricultural organizations Coldiretti, Confagricoltura, and CIA were present at the event with stands and meetings addressing topics of greatest interest to the sector. There was a presentation of the MedEATerranea Consortium, sponsored by CIA - Italian Farmers of Umbria and Chronica Newconsulting srl for the promotion and sustainable development of agriculture, forestry, livestock farming, fishing, tourism, and catering.

Mechanization played a key role at the event, with the sector's major brands present directly or through representatives, covering all product categories. As per tradition, FederUnacoma took part in the event with an institutional space branded EIMA International in Pavilion 9. Informational materials on the Federation's activities and the latest issue of Mondo Macchina magazine were distributed. On the afternoon of the opening day, a press conference was held during which FederUnacoma President Mariateresa Maschio and General Director Simona Rapastella provided journalists and industry professionals with updates on the organization of EIMA 2026 and the performance of the Italian agricultural machinery market. The sector data relating to the Umbrian market were also described in detail, reporting a total of 443 tractors sold in 2025, for a 4% increase over 2024 and a strong start in 2026. On the first day, during the inauguration, the Antonio Ricci Award was presented. The award is now in its seventh year and is dedicated to the journalist/agronomist who oversaw Agriumbria's press office for many years. The awards for journalism/popularization went to Andrea Rosati, President of the Animal Sciences Federation, and for the degree thesess section to Federico Quaglia, of the Department of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Sciences at the University of Perugia.  According to the president of UmbriaFiere, Antonio Forini, "Agriumbria today represents much more than a trade fair: it is one of the main national events dedicated to livestock farming, agricultural mechanization, and the agri-food supply chain, a fundamental forum for discussion for the entire sector. In a time marked by major transformations – including climate change, sustainability, innovation, and competitiveness – this event continues to be a platform for meeting and development for businesses, breeders, institutions, and operators.
