The majority stake in the Frandent Group, an Italian manufacturer of power harrows, tedders and rotary rakes, was acquired last July by the French company Buriel. Frandent, based in Osasco in the province of Turin, is a family-run business founded in 1977 with a catalog of over 70 rotary harrows, from 0.90 to 8.00 meters wide, and more than 20 tedders and rakes, from 2 to 8.40 meters. In 2020, it manufactured more than a thousand of machines, with a turnover of 10 million euros.

Buriel (Chateaubourg, F) is also a family-run group, now in its third generation, which has been active since 1936 and designs, manufactures and markets agricultural machinery for soil preparation, seeding and fertilization. It manufactures 4 thousand machinery per year for a turnover of 55 million euros. The two groups have been collaborating since 2001, when the Italian company provided its know-how in harrow production, leading to the joint production, to date, of 10 thousand Sulky brand rotary harrows, that can be combined with Buriel Tramline, Master, Progress and TF models seed drills. The agreement will be finalized in 2025 with the purchase of Frandent's shares by Buriel, as part of the "Farming Together" project to strengthen the French company in Europe.

Ezio Bruno, founder and director of Frandent, said about the agreement "I am very pleased to see my family business become part of another family group. Frandent's history began with my father, and this sale will allow us to ensure the future of the company. I will accompany this transition to ensure its success." Mr. Julien Burel, President of the French group added: " We are delighted to welcome Frandent into our family. The Italian firm possesses true know-how and recognized expertise in the field of driven tools. We thus hope to consolidate and develop this production activity in Italy".
