Case IH brought the most prized series in the manufactuer’s tractor ranges to the EIMA Show, the rear track Magnum Rowtrac series marketed in the three 310, 340 and 380 versions equipped with powerful 8.7 liter Tier 4 Final engines. At the top of the series is the Magnum 380 CVX Rowtrac with nominal power of 380 Hp at 2000 rpm and 435 Hp with the activation of Power Boost. The transmission options are the Full PowerShift and the innovative continuously variable four-range CVX designed to maximize available power and increase mechanical efficiency. These robust tractors are capable of dealing easily with the most demanding work conditions but the Case IH Magnum Rowtracs, with four points on the ground contact, also ensure maneuverability and handling comparable to a wheeled tractor. Magnum Rowtrac tractors are designed to strike the perfect balance, with tire options that fit row width and soil type and an oscillating rear-track design that keeps the power on the ground through the tightest turns. Furthermore, a longer footprint on the ground guarantees reduced compaction. Case IH also put on show their Optum CVX tractors, available in two models, the 270 and 300 powered by 6.7 liter Tier 4 Final engines. For the demonstration on the Deruta farm, the Optum CVX 300 with nominal 300 Hp at 2,100 rpm was sent out into the field. Equipped only with the continuously variable CVXDrive transmission for the powerful compact tractor with power for the toughest conditions in the field with implements ranging from those for transport, tilling and other operations. The Optum CVX as well as the Magnum CVX series tractors are marketed with the Case IH AccuGuide™ satellite driving system as standard equipment, an application ideal for precision farming.
