Diamant 16, the new Lemken ploughs focus on consumption

After the great success of the Diamant 11 ploughs, with more than 4 thousand models sold, Lemken launches the Diamant 16 series at EIMA International, available on the market starting from 2019.

The new range signed by the German company, even more productive compared to the Diamant 11 in terms of operating comfort and fuel consumption, stands out for the innovative OptiLine adjustment system, already awarded with a silver medal at Agritechnica and designed to avoid side traction during plowing. OptiLine is equipped with a controlled pressure transfer cylinder that provides additional torque to compensate for the lateral traction caused by the asymmetrical plough position behind the tractor. In this way, the Diamant 16 adjustment system moves the traction line of the tractor/plough pair towards the centre of the rear axle, with a significant reduction in fuel consumption (-10%, according to manufacturer data).

The fuel consumption has been further cut with the improvement of the traction strengthener, which, by decreasing the headland pressure, allows the machine to work at higher pressure. In short, thanks to a greater driving force, the tractor/plough combination is able to move even greater weights.

Other updates include the size of the main bearings - now larger - and the possibility of using the application with tractors that have an external width of up to 4 metres (the wheels always maintain a sufficient distance from the edges of the furrow, even in difficult conditions). Also worthy of note is the continuous hydraulic adjustment device for the working depth (it can be managed directly from the driver’s seat) and the Hydromatic overload protection system, which allows you to plough without interruption even on stony soils.
