Following the success achieved with the 475iSi SERIES engine, Briggs & Stratton extends the InStart iSi technology to the semi-professional garden machine market, namely the new 575iSi and 675iSi models powered by an air-cooled 4-stroke single cylinder petrol engine.

The strong point of InStart iSi technology is the ignition system with lithium-ion battery integrated in the engine. This technology is particularly beneficial since it allows the engine to be started instantly, thus eliminating manual fuel priming, air control lever operation and rope starting. A full charge of the lithium-ion battery - according to a technical note from the company - lasts for the entire cutting season, since it provides more than 200 ignitions.

Instant ignition is not the only plus of the 575iSi and 675iSi models. In fact, the new Briggs & Stratton lawnmowers are equipped as standard with the Just Check & Add system. Thanks to this technology, during the machine's operating life, the user no longer has to make a complete oil change, but only periodic top-ups.

Lastly, the Mow N 'Stow device (Mondo Macchina 10-11 of 2016) allows the lawnmower to be stowed vertically, reducing the storage space by 70% and facilitating easy access to the blades for better cleaning of the cutting deck.
