The Bolognese event showcases the new LAND/P folding shredder designed by Berti Macchine Agricole, a company from Caldiero (Verona) with a high level of specialization in the field of soil tillage machines. The latest addition to the Berti brand sees the introduction of an automatic belt tensioner that improves the adhesion of the belt to the driving pulleys. This particular construction solution reduces slippage and at the same time increases the transmitted power, all to the benefit of performance. The rotors, equipped with blades or mallets for an optimal pulverization of the plant residues, are large. The structure of the application is made of special steels (Strenx performance steel) which give strength and lightness. Naturally, the LAND/P folding shredder meets the stringent safety criteria set by the new regulations for applications to be used in the open field. Available with three working widths - 400, 500 and 600 cm - the LAND/P shredder is recommended for shredding plant residues such as corn, soybean, sorghum and sunflower. In the brushcutter segment, the focus is on LAND/SB, a hydraulic model for earth-moving machines. As the manufacturer explains, this is an application designed for mowing high and thick vegetation on river banks, and is manufactured with special highly durable materials. The rotor with mallets has a cutting diameter of over 580 mm and guarantees a high peripheral speed for sharp and precise cuts. On the other hand, as far as the transmission is concerned, Berti’s choice fell on a high-performance gear motor. Two cutting sizes are available on LAND/SB: 160 and 200 centimetres.
