More rollers on Kverneland's Kultistrip Striptiller

Tillage continues to evolve and strip operations are finding increasing space. In this context, Kverneland expands its offering by introducing two new roller options in the Kultistrip range, bringing the total to five different options. Until now, the Kultistrip range included three types of rollers: the Farmflex rubber roller, a pair of V-Press star rollers – arranged in a V, and a straight cage roller with a working width of 20 cm.

To cope with increasingly extreme weather conditions, characterized by less frequent but more intense rainfall – especially in spring and autumn – which can have a significant impact on young crops suffering from moisture stress, Kverneland has developed two innovative concave cage rollers. Instead of leaving a flat surface – states the Norwegian manufacturer – the new cage rollers form a small ridge where the seed is placed.

This slight elevation of excess soil prevents water from stagnating at the base of the plant, helping to maintain its stability and health. Furthermore, the grooved surface improves soil heating around the planting area, promoting faster germination and early growth.

The new rollers have a width of 30 cm, compared to the standard 20 cm, and each offers a different level of shaping based on the depth of the concave design. Along with its new its wider and more robust roller design, Kverneland points out the improved machine-to-soil ratio, providing greater performance and longevity.
