The Umbrian manufacturer Nardi chose Agritechnica as the stage to celebrate its 130th anniversary in the agricultural machinery sector. The ceremony, entitled “Roots of Future”, was held on November 12th at the company's stand in Selci Lama (Perugia) and was attended by the president of FederUnacoma, Mariateresa Maschio, who sent a warm greeting to the Nardi team and all the personalities present. "Few countries can boast such long-standing enterprises, and this reminds us just how much Italian agricultural machinery has contributed, with its ability to be ahead of its time, its inventiveness, its tenacity, to the progress of agriculture," said Mariateresa Maschio. "Nardi's long career," added the president of FederUnacoma, "encompasses some key moments in the history of our sector, and is therefore of great symbolic value". The company, located in Selci Lama, was founded in the late 19th century, just as the mechanization of some agricultural processes was beginning to take hold. Italy's National Agricultural Academies were sponsoring competitions to assess the first prototypes of vehicles and equipment intended to replace manual labor, and specialized workshops were being set up and outfitted to produce on a larger scale. As Mariateresa Maschio has pointed out, Nardi is an example of the qualitative leap made by Italian companies from the artisanal to the industrial stage, moving from the production of plows to the manufacture of an increasingly wider range of soil cultivation equipment. But the Umbrian company's history marks a further leap in quality with the transition from a strictly local market, tied to the territories where the company was founded, to an international one, where Made in Italy technology is establishing itself thanks to its versatility and scope of product range. "Thanks to a widespread presence in over one hundred countries, we are able to capture trends in the agricultural sector and predict their evolution. This,” commented Virgilio Mazzardo, Managing Director of Nardi Group, “allows us to improve every day and anticipate the future drivers of the sector”. A step in this direction is represented by Nardi's new brand identity, called “Next_Now”. Presented at Agritechinc, the new brand identity encapsulates the company's vision for the near future: a harmonious blend of reliability, which has always been the added value of Nardi solutions, and the strong innovative drive that defines the Umbrian Group's corporate strategies.
The Hanover exhibition also saw the launch of the new ERGON, one of the flagship products of the Nardi range which is now offered in an updated version that enhances the tractor's performance and improves the quality of operations on the ground, facilitating further soil cultivation and subsequent sowing operations. The spotlight will also be on the other bestsellers in the Nardi range at the Nardi stand, starting with the NX202E reversible plow, which combines ease of use and increased yields, and the STARSEM FK pneumatic seeder, which increases seed placement regularity and trajectory consistency, reducing friction and wear. In the mulcher segment, the compact RIVA-E lateral model and the reversible and flexible TWIN 5 stand out. The FLEXA V, on the other hand, is a lightweight, practical and immediate-to-use weeder, available in various configurations, while the RCN 630 is a Cambridge roller that improves both the sowing and post-sowing phases, making them even more efficient.
Finally, it is also worth noting the presence of the CSV vineyard-specialized cultivator, designed for inter-row operations.
