January 2014 | Back

New motorization for mixer wagons and the new VPS and VPSe telehandler models will lead the way in the Faresin Industries stand at Fieragricola 2014. Planned for the foreground is the Ecomode version of the Leader mixer wagons in models with capacities which range from 9 to 33 m³ and powered by New Engine Family (NEF) Tier 4 Interim Common Rail engines, at 151 to 181 kW, built by Fiat Powertrain technologies (FPT). The Leader Ecomode vertical mixer wagons were designed for farming which requires high volumes of mix and long travel distances. The cabs have been totally renewed and made more spacious and the controls and instruments have been updated with the arrival of an integrated ergonomic joystick which enables the operator to control all the major functions and ensures greater visibility of the cutter. Also noteworthy is the Vertical Cut electronic system, patented by Faresin Industries, for the production of perfect vertically cut silage fodder which means reducing maneuvers and time needed for loading and thus lowered fuel consumption. The Breganza headquartered manufacturer will also present in Verona their new telescopic handlers, the FH 9.30 Compact with double extending sections and the FH 8.40 Compact. The new power plants for this Compact series are Tier 4 interim/Stage IIIB 90 kW Deutz engines with reduced consumption and size. Beginning in January the entire Compact range with arm extension to 7, 8, 9 and 11 meters in the VPSe versions, are gaining the benefit of these new engines and the VPSe versions will mount the 115 kW engine. The VPS and VPSe codes assigned to the two versions identify the new Variable Power System transmission, available in the continuous variation 40 km/h version with 1 unit for the VPS or 2 units electronic for VPSe. Both systems improve the modular approach to moving speed to make these telehandlers more versatile and easy to use. Electronic management combined with the engine and transmission means that consumption is optimized. Also new is the King Cab made more spacious and featuring redesigned controls and instruments. The seat is now equipped with an integrated ergonomic joystick enabling the operator to work all the main controls, cab visibility has been expanded by 20% and the circulation of air has been boosted for the greater comfort of the operator at work in cold weather.
