RCU45 tracked vehicle, making work safe
The latest addition to the FAE range, the RCU45 model, makes its official debut at Agritechnica. This is an ultra-compact radio-controlled tracked vehicle for professional vegetation management on difficult-to-access terrain or on particularly steep slopes requiring equipment that can provide the operator with the utmost safety. The new vehicle is powered by a 44 Hp Yanmar engine with common rail electronic injection. The heavy-duty undercarriage is equipped with an automatic rubber track tensioning system that allows the vehicle to work even on slopes of up to 55°, while the double hydrostatic transmission manages both traction and the connected equipment. The RCU45 tracked vehicle is managed by an ergonomic remote control, with a 2.4 GHz transmission frequency and a large 4.3-inch display, by means of which it is possible to control all the functions of the vehicle and the connected head, thanks to the user-customizable function keys. To adjust the vehicle's various settings, or to move the crawler if the remote control is not available, the operator can also use the App developed by the Trentino-based manufacturer for iOS (iPhone) and Android systems. Moreover, the application makes it possible to perform diagnostics in case of problems and receive notifications relating to maintenance operations. The RCU45 can be paired with two pieces of equipment. The first is the BL0/RCU forestry mulcher which can shred branches and wood up to 10 cm in diameter, and which is equipped with a fixed blade rotor and Bite Limiter technology to increase productivity. The second is the PML/RCU head, a mulcher with mobile hammers, which shreds grass and small shrubs up to 5 cm in diameter. The RCU45 can be equipped with an electronically controlled winch with a towing capacity of 1.1 tons.
