The 23rd edition of Enovitis in Campo, the travelling exhibition dedicated to field tests of vehicles and technologies for viticulture, is held on June 21 and 22 at Fabbrico, in the province of Reggio Emilia. Organized by the Unione Italiana Vini and VeronaFiere, the annual event offers machines and equipment in action for the various stages of vineyard cultivation: system, plant protection and nutrition, soil management, foliage management and harvesting. The event fields the most modern specialized tractors and the most advanced systems for irrigation, management and recovery of biomass, control and detection of crop data. The land parcels that host the various processes belong to the farm Il Naviglio of the Fantini Brothers, a historic Emilian cooperative, with 30 hectares of Salamino, Sorbara, Ancellotta dell’Emilia, Grasparossa, Malbo Gentile, Lambrusco Marani and Maestri vines. The company has a planned mechanical harvest and an annual production of about 500,000 kilos of grapes. The structure also presents the Vitae farmhouse used as a B&B and also active as a convention centre.  During the event there will be guided tours among the various tests and the Vote the Tractor contest, created in collaboration with Macgest, which invites visitors to express their preference and reward the most interesting and effective vehicle seen among those seen in action. Last year, the Fendt 211V Vario won the award for the  specialist/standard category, Mach 4 by Antonio Carraro for the tracked/half-tracked vehicles category and Tony 9800 TR also by Antonio Carraro for the equal-wheeled tractor category.

Enovitis in Campo is also attended by agencies, institutions and industry media, and various meetings are organized. The opening ceremony includes the assignment of the recognition plaques given to the historical exhibitors of the event, and the Innovation Challenge prizes are presented to highlight the most innovative solutions proposed by the attending manufacturers. Nine awards were assigned last year, from the Attila water weeders by Caffini spa to the Agricolmeccanica Compact atomizer. The ceremony is followed by two conferences dedicated to the production of Lambrusco and the use of waste in the wine supply chain. The following day, a meeting on “Innovative models for mechanized and sustainable management of the vineyard and monitoring of fertility”. Access to Enovitis in Campo is free by registration, which can be completed online on the event’s website. The previous edition, held in the province of Verona, saw the participation of 165 exhibitors and 8 thousand visitors. This year the exhibition had an indoor preview by participating in Fieragricola last February with the Enovitis in Fiera project, which included conferences and workshops on the main topics of interest for the wine sector. A variant of the event, Enovitis Extreme, is scheduled for the first time on July 19 in Quart (AO), and is dedicated to the cultivation of high mountain vines, defined heroic, that see the operators in action on rough terrain that require a dedicated mechanization. FederUnacoma is a supporting partner of the Emilia event and is present with an institutional stand and the Mondo Macchina magazine.
