Alliance, new tyres for row crop work

Traction, high load-carrying capacity with low inflation pressure for less soil compaction, flotation thanks to a wider footprint, self-cleaning properties especially on wet ground: these are the main features of the new Alliance Agriflex 363 VF (Very Improved Flexion) tyre range developed by Yokohama Off-Highway Tyres.

The new tyres are designed for row crop cultivation for tractors, self-propelled and trailed sprayers and feature steel belts, a special compound for anti-crop residue protection, rounded shoulders to protect the crop and good road grip due to the central blocks.

The combination of the directional structure of the crampons and their division into separate blocks allows strong traction in the fields and good grip on the road. The 363 VF's D speed rating of up to 65 km/h facilitates the work of operators who have to move between the farm and the field. The Japanese manufacturer also states that as a twin tyre, the VF offers better performance than single fitment due to its wider footprint that improves ground protection.

The complete range of 363 VF front and rear axle tyres, sold with a 10-year warranty, is available in 15 sizes, while nine more are under development.

For Angelo Noronha, President of Yokohama Off-Highway Tires Europe, "with the Alliance 363 VF we can now boast a complete range of front and rear tyres for tractors and sprayers that allow farms to take full advantage of the benefits associated with 40 per cent more load or 40 per cent less inflation pressure: both options increase the flexibility of ploughing potato fields, for example, and much more".
