Olimac is expected at EIMA International with the bestsellers in its range. Highlighted on the stand of the Cuneo-based company, based in Margarita, are the maize headers with automatically-adjustable platters, DragoGT and Drago2. The maize headers available on the market - reads a note issued by the company - are characterised by manually adjusted platter opening, a system that often results in the loss of product. In contrast, Drago's automatic plate opening adapts continuously to the different sizes of the maize stalks, harvesting the grain without loss of cobs and kernels. The DragoGT is also equipped with shock-absorbing cob plates that cushion the impact of the cobs, thus preventing them from bouncing off the header, and with a double Scissor Effect cob chopper. The latter, in particular, allows the stalks to be worked in such a way that they are shorter and have a finer shred than with other equipment. Drago Gold, on the other hand, is a header with hydraulic flail mower, equipped with the Easy Setup and Safe Drive systems. Already awarded the EIMA 2021 Technical Novelty Award, at the Sommet de l'Elevage 2021, at the Savigliano 2022 Exhibition and at Fieragricola 2022, this year Drago Gold is also nominated for the SIMA Innovation Award. The other sunflower headers on the market are equipped with a mechanical stalk chopper, which, however, due to vibrations on the cardan shaft, limits the maximum distance between harvesting height and chopping height. Drago Gold, on the other hand, is equipped with a hydraulic device that allows the stubble to be cut close to the ground and, at the same time, allows the crop to be harvested at a height of up to 1.5 metres. The technology developed by the Piedmontese manufacturer allows the machine to harvest only the head of the plant (without the stalk): thanks to this solution - explains the Piedmontese company - the combine works faster, the crop is harvested without losses and the chopping is optimal. In addition, the Easy Setup technology allows the header to be used with different combine models without the need to replace components. Another top technology adopted by Drago Gold is the Safe Drive system with which the operator can not only remotely monitor the oil level and temperature, but can also clean the cooling system without leaving the workstation or stopping the machine.
