At EIMA 2022, Mascar will present a preview of Florida Combi, a mechanical seeder with integrated harrow. The main feature of this machine is the speed with which it can prepare the seed bed: in a single pass, the machine works the soil, compacts it, deposits the seed and covers it, providing - explains the Vicenza-based company from Grumolo delle Abadesse (Vicenza) - regular and uniform seeding on all types of soil. Mascar technicians have designed the Florida Combi to work with different types of grains even on sloping terrain, thanks to its strong and light frame that does not weigh too heavily on the ground. The new seed drill from Mascar can also be used with low-power tractors, making it a valid choice on the market even for small to medium-sized farms. Among the pluses of the new seeder - which is equipped as standard with a seed-covering harrow (pressure and inclination can be adjusted according to the type of soil) - worth mentioning is the quick release and coupling system that allows the operator to use only the harrow. To disengage it from the combined configuration, simply remove the pins on the two sides of the machine and those at the third point. The harrow is made of high-strength steel - explains the Vicenza-based company - and is equipped with front guards against stones and an anti-clogging system. The refinement bar, the manufacturer also points out, can be adjusted individually, while the packer roller is a versatile component that can work on any type of terrain.
