Maschio Gaspardo, a company based in Campodarsego, Padua, which has been manufacturing tillage, seeding, fertilizing, crop protection, haymaking and green maintenance equipment since 1964, is expanding its production capacity in Romania, where the group is the largest manufacturer of agricultural equipment.

Last November saw the inauguration of a new operating space at the group's headquarters in Chisineu-Cris (Arad), with a new covered area of 5,700 m2 and the introduction of new high-tech equipment that will ensure greater productivity - of around 20% - at high quality standards. The branch, which has been in operation since 2003, focuses on the production of minimum tillage machines, ploughs and round balers and now occupies a total area of 26 thousand square metres with 400 employees who, when fully operational, will produce 5 thousand pieces of equipment per year. The branch is also in a strategic logistical position for the Russian and Ukrainian markets, the main recipients of the Romanian plant's production.

The works have been carried out with the support of Finest spa, which holds 25% of Maschio Gaspardo Romania, and the Romanian Exim Bank. For Andrea Gaspardo, President of Maschio Holding and Vice-President of Maschio Gaspardo, "this project will allow us to strengthen the production apparatus in order to be present on the market with state-of-the-art facilities to meet the needs of our customers worldwide".

Maschio Gaspardo's production expansion in Romania was also necessary due to the existing partnership with New Holland for two different agreements. The first one, active from 2021, defines the marketing, exclusively through NH dealers, of OEM products for minimum tillage: disc harrows and subsoilers. The second, recently signed, defines the exclusive production of complete ranges of mowers, tedders and windrowers, equipment that will be marketed under the NH brand from next year.

Mirco Maschio, president of Maschio Gaspardo, "proud" of the partnership with New Holland, underlines "the fundamental desire to work together to find new mutual business opportunities".
