MASTER M, the new high-tech plow from Kuhn
The plow sector just got bigger with the addition of the MASTER M range from Kuhn built for tractors with power from 110 to 240 Hp. Designed to improve operating conditions during plowing and road transport, MASTER M offers many different headstocks: Standard, which optimizes operation times by means of fixed coupling arms; the GoDrive which, by oscillating during road transport (approved for driving up to 40 km/h), improves the maneuverability and safety of the equipment. The MASTER M range is offered with both the EASYDRIVE option – which makes it easy to switch from the working to the transport position – and with the OPTIDRIVE option, a shock absorbing system which is particularly useful for driving and on headlands. The new plow from the French company also stands out for its triangular frame design and the Non-Stop hydraulic safety system, in which each body has its own accumulator. Compared to traditional centralized accumulator systems, Non-Stop technology – the manufacturer explains in a note – improves responsiveness and adaptability to the terrain. Another strong point of the plow from Kuhn is the integrated variable width system that protects the hoses and linkages inside the structure. The MULTI-MASTER M model is also remarkable for its cutting adjustment device, which provides four lengths, between 35 and 50 centimeters. Finally, the combination of the GODRIVE oscillating front axle and the WORK AND ROLL wheel allows for hydraulic adjustment (directly from the tractor cab) of the working depth and to optimize the cutting width thanks to its compact design. The center of gravity close to the tractor improves weight handling, making lifting and working at the headland easier.
