New Dyna-CT transmission for Massey Ferguson telehandlers

Massey Ferguson introduces its new Dyna-CT transmission on its TH Series telescopic handlers – TH.6534 Dyna-CT, TH.7038 Dyna-CT and TH.8043 Dyna-CT – which feature the same engines and offer the same lift capacity and height as other models in the series. With no mechanical reduction gear, the new transmission allows operators to select the most suitable speed, even when towing or pushing heavy loads, by selecting “hare” mode, where the entire speed range is available, or “tortoise” mode, where it is limited to 20 km/h for greater flexibility and control of movements. The new TH Dyna-CT models feature maximum speed limiters, automatic engine stop and start, as well as cruise control and dynamic tractor management, all programmable with the 7-inch terminal. The speed limiter is a solution specifically designed for less experienced operators; it can be set between 1 and 40 km/h with a password to prevent unauthorized changes. The vehicle stop function was introduced by Massey Ferguson engineers to save fuel. The user can in fact select a period of inactivity between 1 and 20 minutes, after which the lift enters stand-by mode. Other remarkable new features introduced by Massey Ferguson technicians in addition to the cruise control system, include the DTM (Dynamic Tractor Management) technology which reduces fuel consumption. DTM technology allows the operator to set the travel speed with the accelerator pedal, while the engine and transmission are controlled automatically to keep the engine speed at a minimum, varying the workload.
