Weeding and shredding, Nobili's innovations

At EIMA International, the Bologna-based company Nobili - headquartered in Molinella - turns the spotlight on all the prized items in its range. Here are in detail all the bestsellers highlighted at the Bologna exhibition.

BFP 320 and 370. Suitable for processing potato leaves on four rows, the two models are mulchers designed to perform mechanical weeding operations and thus reduce the environmental impact associated with this type of work. The BFP leaf choppers feature a rotor with special blades that follow the contours of the mounds to chop only the grassy part without affecting the topsoil. The high peripheral speed of the tools creates a suction effect that allows all material on the ground to be shredded. The deflectors installed inside the large chopping chamber, on the other hand, allow the material to be discharged to the bottom, cleaning the heaps and facilitating the subsequent harvesting phase. The machines are available in 320 and 370 versions, respectively designed to work 4 rows of 75/80 or 90 cm. Two height-adjustable working wheels are installed at the rear to adapt the machine to the ground. Anti-wear elements (the side protection skids and the wear plate inside the chopping chamber) are also fitted as standard to ensure greater machine longevity. It is possible to equip both models with four pressure wheels (one for each heap) thanks to which the soil can be compacted after shredding.

ES. The ES electrostatic system designed by Nobili to increase treatment efficiency also on adjacent rows equips the VENTIS range of headers as standard. Thanks to the combination of the high penetration capacity of pneumatic sprayers with the NOBILI electrostatic system - explains the Molinella-based company in a note - it is possible to increase the coverage and uniformity of the treatment, while reducing drift and ground losses. Indeed, the electrostatic field created on each spraying module allows the drops to be polarised in such a way that they are attracted to the 'target' vegetation. The ES system includes a high-voltage generator and a control device with LED indicator, positioned directly in the cab.

PDF. This is an innovative and easy-to-use line of trailed sprayers with main tanks of 1000, 1500 and 2000 litres and with integrated system and hand-washers in a single body. The large pump compartment facilitates maintenance of the machine's parts, which are mounted on a sturdy hot-galvanised frame, while the 120 l/min cataphoresis pump offers high resistance to the most aggressive chemicals and, thanks to the double pneumatic agitator, effective mixing even with the most concentrated solutions. The 850 mm fan unit, with air corrector, is also available in a tower version (particularly suitable for espalier farms). The flushing system is a by-pass type; a suitable solution to flush the circuit even when the main tank is full, as it does not interfere with product dilution.

SDS 1000. This is a range of mulchers designed for mulching the undergrowth and simultaneous inter-row cleaning (even in the presence of pruning) in orchards, vineyards and olive groves. Three working widths are available: 2600, 2800 and 3100 mm with bilateral discharge system. The machines are characterised by their large double auger and large front opening, which enables the machine to process large quantities of material and create symmetrical swaths from both sides in a single pass. SDS shredders rest on a roller with removable bottom plates, which adjusts the working height, and are equipped with hydraulic speed control of the augers (the biomass flow rate is adapted to the speed of the tractor and the volume of material to be shredded). In addition to the two bonnets that facilitate cleaning and maintenance of the machine, other technical features of the mulchers include the second category attachments that can be connected to the rear lift arms.
