Darmec Transporter, versatility and efficiency in harvesting

The Transporter is an innovative self-propelled designed by Darmec Technologies, a Lazio company based in Borgo Montello (Latina), for harvesting fruits and vegetables with plastic bins or wooden boxes. This machine can be widely used in the fruit and vegetable sector (with planting in rows, trellis, arbour and open field), and as stated by the manufacturer, it enables halving the cost of harvesting while increasing productivity and eliminating all the disadvantages of traditional bin handling methods. The containers are picked up from the ground with a fork positioned in front of the self-propelled, and then raised by means of a hydraulic cylinder up to the height of the platform, where they are moved by motorized chains towards the rear of the machine, and arranged here to be transported to the point of farm transfer. To unload the containers, you just need to tilt the platform hydraulically and move the vehicle a few metres. But the real winning card of the Darmec self-propelled is a mechanical device which, by exploiting a hinged support platform, enables a single operator to load the product (even while moving), to carry it to the unloading zone, and to deposit it easily and safely. It is versatile (adapts to the vast majority of fruit and vegetable plants), stable (even when fully loaded and on slopes, thanks to the hydrostatic transmission and the horizontal distribution of weight on the platform), agile in its movements (it has 4-wheel steering equipped with radial tyres that give it great fluidity ), the self-propelled from Darmec comes with a reversible driving seat and in addition to the classic loading platform, it can be equipped with quick connections to support other applications. The handling capacity of the Transporter ranges from 500/600 bins of the Transporter 650 model to 150/200 bins of the 325S.
