The Kubota DSM-W GEOspread is a weighing spreader series with capacities from 1100 to 2450 liters designed for small and medium-size farms ready for new generation technologies capable of ensuring precision treatments and lowering the consumption of fertilizer. On the basis of pre-set values or prescription mapping data, the automatic GEOspread control system regulates the working width and dosage using GPS. Kubota said these operations are performed automatically with no need to change the setup of the spreader or terminals.

Equipped with a technological package ideal for precision farming, these new spreaders are available in versions with working widths from 10 to 28 meters divided into 14 sections of 2 meters each to make it possible to maintain the rotation speed of the discs constant, accurately regulate distribution location and delete one section after another and switch over to the middle. In other words, each section can be activated or deleted independently for another one to avoid overlap. The result is especially advantageous for work on small plots of uneven terrain.

Another strong point for the new Kubota spreaders is the innovative system for the transmission of speed of the discs which, due to this, the agitators rotate at a speed reduced by 15% compared to the discs to ensure sensitive and precise agitation of the fertilizer.
