New Holland has recently unveiled its new 47 Hp Boomer 45 and 57 Hp Boomer 55 Class 3 models, which are Stage V compliant and offer improved performance, efficiency and comfort, thus completing the range in the 60 Hp power segment for various applications such as mowing, transport, light ground work, sweeping and snow clearing. The tractors are equipped with new 3-cylinder turbocharged engines with Common Rail Direct Injection technology with powerful performance and a torque reserve of up to 188 Nm at 1600 rpm in the top-of-the-range model, the Boomer 55. The oversized radiator and cooling fan further improve engine efficiency.

The aftertreatment system uses a new continuous regeneration system, including an oxidation catalyst and a diesel particulate filter. The engine and aftertreatment system are Stage V compliant with improved fuel efficiency, which is also ensured by other features such as the availability of 540E PTO on Class 3 models, whereby the PTO speed never exceeds the target speed by more than 10%, thus keeping fuel consumption low. SuiteTM is the name of the new maximum-comfort cab, available for all Boomer Class 2 and 3 models, with increased visibility, ergonomic controls and a redesigned dashboard with an LCD speedometer display on the dashboard for easy operation. EZ Speed is also a feature available on hydrostatic transmission models that coordinates the forward pedal and engine speed for efficiency and versatility. The company describes this feature in a presentation technical note: when the operator operates the pedal and the hand throttle is in the down position, the engine speed increases when the hydrostatic pedal is pressed. This ensures that you always have the right engine speed and forward speed when you need it.

A new automatic PTO function, activated by a simple switch, also allows the PTO to be automatically deactivated when the three-point linkage is raised and reactivated when it is lowered.

This reduces driver fatigue and also speeds up work in applications where the rear linkage has to be raised and lowered frequently, improving productivity. A wide choice of tyres is also available for the Boomers - agricultural, industrial and high flotation wide tyres for turf - making them ideal for a variety of applications. Edoardo Ronco, Product Marketing Manager Europe, Compact Tractors New Holland, describes the Boomer range as “a perfect combination of ease of use, efficiency and comfort, offered in a compact package”.

As part of the “Intelligent Farming All_Ways” online meeting, New Holland Agriculture also presented the new T7 Heavy Duty tractor to the European press in August, underlining the company's commitment to making smart technology “widely available” for the primary sector. The HD version of the T7 retains its previous performance, agility and versatility while offering a higher level of usability thanks to the new Horizon Ultra cab and next generation PLM Intelligence features.

The cab has been completely redesigned with only 2% of the components taken from the previous model and has been lengthened to provide more space for the operator and passenger with plenty of storage space, including a 12 litre refrigerated compartment. On the lighting front, the redesign has improved visibility to the front and rear of the linkage and implement, with the area around the tractor kept under camera surveillance.

A new kit with up to 24 LED lights has been installed, allowing the tractor and equipment to be operated even at night. Ergonomic controls - customisable to your needs - are available on the new SideWinder Ultra armrest, as well as a user-friendly 12-inch IntelliView monitor. In the centre of the steering wheel is the CentreView display for a clear view of operations.

The cab also features a new automatic air conditioning system - with zone selection and 30% more capacity than the previous model to maintain the most comfortable temperature in all seasons - and the Auto Comfort seat, with side suspension and a system that provides dehumidification and heating according to weather conditions. The vehicle's high connectivity means that your mobile device can be automatically connected to the in-cab display, giving you the option of using it with a button on the armrest. The advanced connectivity of the Horizon Ultra cab allows users to access their “digital life” through the PLM Intelligence system.

New Holland Precision Land Management is a new electronic architecture - which will be adopted in all of the Group's latest generation machines - that allows users to access all of the farm's work data even when changing machines. Using the MyNewHolland App, users can register their machine with the relevant technical data and access the MyPLMConnect portal, managing their fleet and farm information in a single environment and calibrating the various work phases.

The new Cygnus PLM receiver was also presented, to provide reliable vehicle position, compensating for terrain variations and acquiring the paths very quickly, enabling accurate and reliable automatic driving. Speaking at the meeting, Sean Lennon, Vice President New Holland Agriculture Europe, explained the process that led to the production of the new tractor: “We asked our customers what they expected from their next tractor, and based on their input we developed the next generation T7 HD to give them everything they dreamed of.”
