New Holland is expanding its range of variable chamber round balers with the new Pro-Belt Series. Designed based on feedback from New Holland customers, the Pro-Belt has undergone extensive field testing around the world. The main features found by the operators who have tested the new Series include its versatility for a wide range of crops. The new baler stands out for its aerodynamic design and its high strength and mechanical efficiency, which are ensured by the dual transmission. These characteristics are further accentuated by the reduction in the number of components, which, according to a company note, compared to previous versions, favours ease of operation and stronger moving parts. The heavy-duty 520 mm diameter rotor, in combination with Active Drop Floor technology, provides constant feedback to the operator, improving productivity, with optimum output and uninterrupted feeding. High performance also for the baler which is capable of processing up to 30 tonnes per hour and up to 140 kg/m3 of dry matter. The Pro-Belt model - according to New Holland - will allow the crop to be baled faster and with fewer bales. The new New Holland baler will be previewed at industry events in France, Italy and the UK in the first half of the year, with the official launch scheduled for November at the EIMA exhibition in Bologna and SIMA in Paris.
