The tour for unveiling the 2017 edition of EIMA Agrimach in India close with a press conference held in New Delhi. The review of machinery and technologies for agriculture, scheduled for December 7 to 9 in the Indian capital, is organized by FICCI, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Italian Federation of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers, FederUnacoma. The tour was for reporting on the biennial event which this year marks its fifth edition on the heels of steady growth in the numbers of exhibiting companies and visitors. These travels ranged from stages in Bangalore, Pune, Ludhiana along with New Delhi with stops selected according to their importance in the agricultural sector where it was possible to meet with agricultural organizations, business people, Indian and international manufacturing industries and members of the media converging on the capital in December for the great exposition.

The FederUnacoma director of the events office, Marco Acerbi, told the press conference, “The development of agriculture in India requires great investments in mechanization which must be adequate for the needs of the country as regards quantity as well as quality. An event like EIMA Agrimach is, in this direction, a fundamental point of reference.

The FICCI Joint Director Jasmeet Singh declared, “The acquisition of agricultural machinery in India has shown impressive growth in these years and today this country is the world’s leading market for tractors sold with a total of about 600,000 per year. But the mechanization course must take into account the specific needs for our various crops, the climate and weather conditions of Indian territories and differing farming models.” Singh went on to say, “For this, the event in Delhi is important, beyond a promotional and commercial event, as an occasion for the development of a network of cooperation among the manufacturing industries, the real farming conditions in the world and research and training.”

It was made clear during the conference that EIMA Agrimach can rely on the specific know-how of EIMA International, the great agricultural mechanics exposition held in Bologna since 1969 as one of the world’s greatest events in the sector which, since its first edition, has aimed to present the widest possible ranges of machinery and equipment for the sector requiring ever increasing rational and targeted farming operations due to financial and environmental considerations.

This formula has been validated by the EIMA Agrimach numbers.

The most recent edition, in December 2015, drew 300 exhibiting manufacturers in exhibition areas and on outdoor trials of machinery and equipment for the arrival of some 40,000 visitors and business people from all the states of the Subcontinent, neighboring countries and from the Far East.

The feedback from this first phase of organization and the network of relationships developed through promotional initiatives during the roadshow – which also took in Myanmar, Malaysia and Vietnam – all point to an even greater success for the upcoming edition.
