Precision farming is increasingly at home on the New Holland Agriculture T8 tractors. The range of the Turin-based company sees the debut of the Genesis series equipped with the Precision Land Management Intelligence system, the New Holland platform for the precision farming. Advanced connectivity between operators, vehicles and dealers to improve productivity and reduce downtime; customizable controls, for even more extreme comfort and ergonomics; total integration with the MyNew Holland portal, are just some of the new features of the T8 Genesis, popular on the market for more than two decades. “At the time of the launch, which took place over 25 years ago, the Genesis model, known in Europe as Series 70, represented a turning point in tractor design. Equally, the new T8 Genesis with PLM Intelligence marks an important design evolution because it was conceived based on the way farmers work, following extensive research conducted with our customers”, explains Sean Lennon, Head of Tractor Product Management. “We tried to optimize the operation of the tractor and equipment without forgetting the centrality of the driving position. The cabin has been renewed - Lennon continues - to offer the user the maximum freedom of customization, with intuitive and ergonomic controls, according to our “jump on & drive” philosophy, while the new ergonomic SideWinder armrest allows you to manage quickly and immediate all the main functions of the machine”. Still on the subject of the cabin, we should mention the innovative four-post frame that offers an optimal view of the work area. The T8 Genesis are powered by a sturdy 8.7 litre Cursor 9 Stage V (with ECOBlu HI-eSCR2 post-treatment) developed by FPT Industrial to reduce fuel consumption to the bare minimum. But the real plus of the engine is represented by the long maintenance intervals, which reach 600 hours. More news on the T8 Genesis range is expected by 2020, when New Holland will launch the 400 horsepower full-powershift T8.435 Ultra Command model with 21AVx5RM transmission. This tractor will be characterized by even more freedom of customization, since it will allow the operator to combine each power level with the transmission system most suited to his task.
