Brothers Giancarlo and Maurizio Ambeni have been at work on the Province of Pavia economic scene since their decision to pursue the family vocation by establishing their own specialized company, Fratelli Ambeni Costruzione Meccaniche, following a tradition dating back to 1965 when their craftsman father opened a mechanics shop. With the passage of time, Giancarlo and Maurizio began their work on agricultural machinery and equipment and moved into the specialization of groundskeeping when their Fratelli Ambeni enterprise opened in 1992 without, however, abandoning their upbringing as craftsmen dating back over the years. Instead of going into business with the intention of striving for volume, the Ambeni brothers followed in their father's footsteps by basing their work and company strategy on quality rather than purely financial values. Speaking to Mondo Macchina/Machinery World, the brothers said, “We try to stay competitive on prices but only so long as this doesn't compromise the quality standards of our implements, the real benchmark of Fratelli Ambeni Costruzione Meccaniche. For the same reason, we decided to built almost all our components in our own plant and seek recourse to outside suppliers only with great care. For these suppliers to become our partners, they have to come through a rigorous selection process.” Remaining loyal to their artisan background has also allowed the company to maintain the versatility in production needed for planing and building strongly customized machinery and equipment. The Fratelli Ambeni ranges are, in fact, wide and diversified but their products are also designed for making them adaptable to meet the various and specific requirements of their end-users. In the Lombardy company's catalogue brush cutters and harrows are prominent. Brush cutters, for cutting grass and brush of small and medium size diameters, are available in lengths of 5 up to 14.3 meters – professional machines built in a wide range of models, the DR 7300, DR 7300Ev, DR 8600, DR 8800, DR 9000, DR 9300, DR 9600, DR 10000, DR 12500, DR 13200 and the DR 15000 equipped with telescopic hydraulic heads – all ideal for the maintenance of public green areas and contractor operations. Also up front are the DR 7300 and DR 7300Ev with telescopic hydraulic heads, hydraulic presses for the rakes, stabilizing feet and 150° rotation for maintenance operations in irrigation canals. The Fratelli Ambeni line of rotary tillers is made up of more than ten machines mounting hammers, the FL series with a rear engine, an indirect belt transmission, removable anti-wear frame and a rear roller regulated for height. The DR 111 and DR 120 models feature work widths of 1.11 and 1.2 meters, scarifier teeth and direct drive motors. Also noteworthy are the six aquatic rotary harrow models turned out by the Pavia manufacturer for operations in irrigation canals and the three side mulchers, the 1300, 1600 and the 1900, for cutting grass and brush available in versions with hammers or knives. And then the Fratelli Ambeni Costruzioni Meccaniche range could not leave out a mobile grid for the clearance of irrigation canals, rake carriers to use in combination with mulchers and a tractor crane for agricultural tractors with a 980 kg load capacity with the arm closed and 600 kg with the arm open.
