Two new models of the six-cylinder T6 range by New Holland are presented to the public for the first time during the Parisian SIMA exhibition. The new models, T6.180 Dynamic Command and T6.160 Electro Command, respectively rated 145 and 135 Hp, introduce a new level of performance in the range with the 6.7-litre 6-cylinder NEF engine, which offers optimized combustion without EGR for efficient operation, combined with a HI-eSCR post-treatment system to meet Stage IV emissions legislation. Aided by these new engines, the T6.180 offers a 12% higher torque compared to 4-cylinder models, with a torque at low revs that significantly facilitates the restarts. Furthermore, the increased displacement of the new engine improves engine braking in downhill applications and travel. At SIMA, New Holland also presented the Ground Speed Management System II (GSM II), which adds to the already proven efficiency of the T6 Dynamic Command tractor. The interface is similar to the Auto Command’s, with the speed adjustment on the CommandGrip multi-function lever. The performance can be set to favour either the power or the economy of operation. The GSM II system works with devices driven or not driven by the PTO, in automatic mode in the field or on the road, and with the possibility of using the traditional Autoshift automatic transmission mode. T6 Dynamic Command models can be offered with the ISOBUS Class 3 functionality, which allows the implement to “communicate” with the tractor PTO, the attachment, the EHR auxiliary valves, the steering, the speed and the front lift/PTO assembly. For example, with the tractor coupled to a New Holland round baler with the IntelliBale™ system, the press can stop the tractor when it forms a bale, eject the bale and close the tailgate. The driver only has to press the reverse button to restart the pressing.
