In the exhibition spaces of Facma, the spotlight is aimed at two novelties signed by the Viterbo company. The RM170 model is a mechanical harvester with inter-row brush, patented, intended for the C200S, C300S, and C380S self-propelled suction harvesters, machines that the Lazio company has been producing for more than twenty-five years for the collection of nuts from the ground. The RM170 head can be installed in place of the two rubber counter-rotating brushes already mounted on the self-propelled harvesters. This head allows the simultaneous use of both harvesting systems, mechanical and suction, making the machine highly versatile. The device has a working width of 1.7 metres (with the side brush it reaches 2.4 metres) and is composed of an auxiliary feed brush, a debris-cleaning auger, a main picking brush, and an auger for the sorting and transport of the material to the suction pipe. The latter is particularly beneficial because it reduces the concentration of airborne dust, increasing at the same time the speed of collection. At the Bologna show, Facma also presents the C200S self-propelled harvester equipped with a new Lombardini-Kohler KDI2504M model 49 Hp 4-cylinder engine. Also on display, the Semek 1000 self-propelled mechanical harvester for tree nuts (hazelnuts, chestnuts, almonds, walnuts, macadamia nuts, pecans), which is one of the top models from the Viterbo company. It features a high collection rate, ensuring optimum cleaning of the product and a good ability to adapt to the terrain. The standard equipment includes three-wheel drive, dual speed (collection speed, road transport speed), standard roll-bar, rotary sieve, lateral blower, front picker (width from 3 to 3.40 metres). Also available in a tape version, for collecting walnuts. These features are designed to maximize productivity, making the Semek by Facma a machine suitable to the needs of large farms.
